This project showcases a fully customized leather shoulder bag designed for the brand MALI LOU, featuring dual-strap structure, matte gold hardware, and embossed logo detailing. The design emphasizes minimal luxury, functional refinement, and durability through premium material and precise craftsmanship.

• Material: Full-grain textured leather (dark brown)
• Logo: Debossed logo on exterior panel
• Hardware: All accessories in matte gold finish
• Strap System: Dual straps with asymmetric construction
• One side is adjustable with a lock hook
• The other side is fixed with a square buckle
• Interior: Functional compartments with cardholder logo position
• Bottom: Structured base with metal feet
Customization Process Overview
This handbag followed our standard bag production workflow with multiple custom development checkpoints:
1. Design Sketch & Structure Confirmation
Based on client input and initial mockup, we refined the bag’s silhouette and functional elements, including the slanted top line, dual strap integration, and the logo placement.
2. Hardware Selection & Customization
Matte gold accessories were selected for a modern yet luxurious look. Custom conversion from lock to square buckle was implemented, with branded hardware supplied for the logo plate and zip pullers.
3. Pattern Making & Leather Cutting
Paper pattern was finalized after test samples. Leather cutting was optimized for symmetry and grain direction. Strap hole reinforcements were added based on usage tests.
4. Logo Application
The brand’s name “MALI LOU” was debossed on the leather using a heat stamp. A clean, unembellished treatment aligns with the client’s minimalist aesthetic.
5. Assembly & Edge Finishing
Professional edge painting, stitching, and hardware setting were completed with attention to detail. Final structure was reinforced with padding and internal lining to ensure durability.
