Project Background
Futuristic, functional, and made for winter. This snow boot project was developed for a client seeking a bold seasonal design that breaks away from traditional silhouettes. With a custom-molded outsole, edgy ankle hardware, and insulated construction, the result is a high-performance fashion boot built for cold-weather wear.
Design Vision
The client’s concept was to create a snow boot that blends urban edge with rugged functionality. Key visual elements included:
A PMS 729C camel and all-black colorway
Oversized custom sole unit, developed from scratch
Customization Process Overview
1. 3D Modeling & Sculptural Heel Mold
We translated the goddess figure sketch into a 3D CAD model, refining proportions and balance
A dedicated heel mold was developed exclusively for this project
Electroplated with gold-tone metallic finish for visual impact and structural strength
2. Upper Construction & Branding
The upper was crafted in premium lambskin leather for a luxurious touch
A subtle logo was hot-stamped (foil embossed) on the insole and outer side
The design was adjusted for comfort and heel stability without compromising the artistic shape
3. Sampling & Fine Tuning
Several samples were created to ensure structural durability and precise finish
Special attention was given to the heel's connection point, ensuring weight distribution and walkability
